ENTP
It was that late, I was chitchatting with this old comrade, Marauder, while we were talking, like Zen, of life, he told me to take this kinda personality test here http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp. Ouch. My trivial side’s tickled by that, then I did it. Afterward, knowing the result is even bursting my laugh. Well, some are definitely correct, but some, umm, you judge. Well, here is ‘me’ by the test :
I’m an ENTP. Extraverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving.
It’s said that I am slightly expressed extravert, moderately expressed intuitive personality, distinctively expressed thinking personality, and moderately expressed perceiving personality. And with those combination of personalities, they make me a Rational Portrait of the Inventor. AHAY, sounds cool, but actually sorta true too. Uhuk. So here they say about “The Inventor’ :
There aren’t many Inventors, say about two percent of the population, but they have great impact on our everyday lives. With their innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, Inventors are always on the lookout for a better way, always eyeing new projects, new enterprises, new processes. Always aiming to “build a better mousetrap.” Inventors are keenly pragmatic, and often become expert at devising the most effective means to accomplish their ends. They are the most reluctant of all the types to do things in a particular manner just because that’s the way they have been done. As a result, they often bring fresh, new approaches to their work and play. They are intensely curious and continuously probe for possibilities, especially when trying to solve complex problems. Inventors are filled with ideas, but value ideas only when they make possible actions and objects. Thus they see product design not as an end in itself, but as a means to an end, as a way of devising the prototype that works and that can be brought to market. Inventors are confident in their pragmatism, counting on their ability to find effective ways and means when they need them, rather than making a detailed blueprint in advance. A rough idea is all they need to feel ready to proceed into action.
Inventors often have a lively circle of friends and are interested in their ideas and activities. They are usually easy-going, seldom critical or carping. Inventors can be engaging conversationalists, able to express their own complicated ideas and to follow the ideas of others. When arguing issues, however, they may deliberately employ debate skills to the serious disadvantage of their opponents.
Inventors are usually non-conformists in the workplace, and can succeed in many areas as long as the job does not involve too much humdrum routine. They make good leaders on pilot projects that test their ingenuity. And they are skilled at engineering human relationships and human systems, quickly grasping the politics of institutions and always wanting to understand the people within the system rather than tell them what to do. No matter what their occupation, however, Inventors display an extraordinary talent for rising to the demands of even the most impossible situations. “It can’t be done” is a challenge to an Inventor and elicits a reaction of “I can do it.”
It is not unusual to find this type in any job that requires new ideas and people contact. You might find them in politics, in real estate development, in advertising, in marketing, or in public relations. They could be a venture capitalist, a management consult, or a sports agent. As long as they have the opportunity to invent a new product or a new experience, they will shine. (SFX: Audience’s clap)
I found the post above undebatable, haha, nah kidding, but honestly if I see back in what I’ve done and what I’m doing, I found most of em in a straight line. What’s even funnier is the list of people with same personalities the site summarized to me, those are Richard Feynman, Thomas Edison, Leonardo da Vinci, James Cameron, Patricia Schroeder. A Physicist with Nobel Prize of integral formulation of Quantum Mechanics, A truly Inventor whom every creature should thank, A super genius artist all the time, An awesome Director who beat his own world most-viewed movie record, and A bold Politician who was the first woman elected to congress from her origin. WHAT A COMFORTING FACT. HAHAHA. So, I am more-or-less a combination of scientist, artist, and politician to invent something that people will thank me to in the future. (SFX: Audience Booing) Geez, hahaha, sounds…like a prophecy, eh? (maybe they should put more fact that sometime people with these personalities are also slightly exhibitionist, hahaha).
Okay, next part is also amusing, Rational Women and Romance. (romantic music starts playing as back sound)
Rational women tend to be late bloomers on the dating scene. (SFX: Audience laughter) They are sometimes unaware of or don’t wish to follow cultural norms which dictate what is considered feminine. As they get older, men often appreciate their logic and general lack of emotional outbursts, along with the fact that Rational women tend to clearly state what they think and want.
And here is the illustration of women in my type:
Brianna is a Rational Inventor (ENTP). In high school, she had many friends, both guys and girls. She enjoyed dating when it happened but didn’t worry when it didn’t. In college, she was ready to play the field. She would scan it for interesting people. What she most liked was having conversations on all kinds of topics from the newest movie out to the existence of alternate universes. She likes men who are playful and who listen to her freewheeling ideas. While she is interested in someday getting married, she’s in no particular hurry for love. (Loop SFX: Audience laughter)
One straight comment for this field: NOD.
This part is about the mate of people like me, hmmm.
Rational women are often perfectly happy playing the hard-charging corporate player to their mate’s more domestic lifestyle. Because women are socialized differently from men, Rational women are much more likely than their male counterparts to catch hints and indirect communication. However, they still prefer clear statements.
Rationals tend to be the easiest on upkeep. Their wants tend to be few, and they generally place few demands on their mates. In fact, one of the biggest complaints about Rationals is that they are too independent and at times seem to neither want nor need anyone else. (SFX: Audience laughter super hard) At times, most mates of Rationals wonder why the Rational wanted a relationship at all.
Sometimes Rationals can seem so self-reliant that a mate can wonder if they really have anything to offer. This tends to occur when the Rational is afraid of being openly vulnerable. They can maintain a façade of autonomy to hide how they really feel. However, they usually enter relationships precisely because they really do need other people.
The key to keeping your Rational happy is to provide support and a listening ear while not demanding too much. Offering shared activities including sports, sex, music and the like are also likely to be appreciated. (SFX: Audience clap)
One thing virtually all Rationals need is time. They need uninterrupted time to work on whatever project has caught their mental eye. It is not uncommon for them to work until they drop, get a few hours of shut-eye, and then get up and keep working. This can go on for days, with the Rational surfacing periodically for food and family activities. During this time, they are likely to appreciate someone to bounce a few ideas off of. The best way a mate can help is to listen, keep them from being interrupted, and remind them of important commitments coming up.
An important thing to remember is that most Rationals are disgusted by emotional outbursts. A mate who cries, pleads, begs, yells, and throws things is very likely to cause the Rational to withdraw even more. A Rational can talk about almost anything if it is discussed in a logical, emotionally neutral way.
Another thing Rationals need is someone to listen and respond intelligently to them. This can be difficult if they are talking way beyond you. Ask questions so you can understand the background of what they’re talking about. Sometimes they forget that the other person doesn’t have all of the background knowledge that they do. Sometimes they may discuss things which turn out to be difficulties in relating to other people. This has to be handled very delicately. You can give opinions in a calm way but not judgments.
The bottom line with Rationals is to give them a lot of autonomy and intelligent conversation. Remember that they really do need you. Support your mate and they’ll give you mental stimulation, freedom, and visions of the future.
Next, How Rational women want to be shown love:
Listen to their ideas and offer suggestions which say that their ideas are worth pursuing; Allow them to handle things without interference or second-guessing; Praise for incisive and radical thinking; Take care of things in the sensing world for them, such as housework, car maintenance, and repairs; They want to be seen as having an irresistibly beautiful mind.
HAHAHAHAHA, in other word, I am a person who is so dominant and has a super huge desire of appraisal. SEE, The exhibitionist stuff I mentioned above, gotcha! Hahaha.
More about this can be found here: http://typelogic.com/entp.html
To be honest, this test is waaaay so fun, well, you’d better try and figure out yourself the sensation. However, it’s virtually done. I believe lots of noise possibly happened, so it’s the approx version of me. I’d better call my psychologist sister to ask her the real test. Hahahahahahahahaha.
